Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the recognition of corruption cases and its impact on the penal judgment.

The study consisted of three chapters, a conclusion, results and recommendations.

The descriptive analytical approach and the comparative approach were used.

The views of legal jurisprudence were also analyzed regarding the issues raised in this study, as well as judicial rulings in this regard if found in Jordan.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: Confession is considered the master of evidence and the strongest, but it has become not an argument in itself, regardless of the party before which the confession was made.

1- There is no detailed text for the provisions of recognition, so most of the provisions of recognition and its legal rules were from judicial work and jurisprudence.

2- We find that many of the decisions of the Jordanian Court of Cassation have invalidated confessions that were taken under physical and moral coercion or if they were based on illegal procedures.

The study also recommended that the confession should not be considered alone, but that it should be supported by other evidence, such as hearing witnesses and considering the rest of the evidence by the court before issuing the decision based on the confession in order to ensure the validity of the confession and that it was made by a free and conscious will.
