Abstract EN

This study aimed to shed light on the impact of singlingHanafi School on the Jordanian Personal Status Law No.

15 of 2019 in two chapters (marriage and divorce).

The study revealed the extent of the impact of women's testimony on the marriage contract, in terms of achieving the legitimate interest, lifting embarrassment, and making people's lives easier.

This study deals with the discussion of the opinions of the jurists regarding the ruling on women's testimony on the marriage contract, and the extent of influence the uniqueness of the Hanafi school have on it, following the descriptive approach,and making use of the inductive and analytical approaches.

The researcher in this study concluded that the Jordanian Personal Status Law has made the right decision in choosing the opinion of the Hanafi school regarding the permissibility of women’s testimony on marriage contract, as it has achieved the legitimate interest, by lifting people's distress and embarrassment, and achieving the interest of preserving rights, using one of the means of evidence which is testimony.
