Abstract EN
The purpose of the study is to identify the effectiveness of zakat in reducing the rise in prices or inflation, in addition to the effect of inflation on zakat receipts with reference to the state of Sudan during the period 2001 to 2016.
to achieve this objective, the study uses methodology analyze and measure some variables using specific programs that serve this purpose, such as eviews program.
the study found that spending zakat on productive goods did not limit the rise in prices in the state of Sudan, and that collecting zakat in cash instead of collecting in kind is difficult and does not have flexibility.
there is also an effect of inflation on zakat receipts in Sudan.
however, assuming zakat was collected in cash, this does not affect inflation, which is confirmed by the causal relationship to the study variables during the period.
