Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the obstacles and difficulties that face the use of bank cards to solving the liquidity crisis in Libya.

in order to achieve this aim, the study applied an analytical descriptive approach.

the population of this study included the managers of the banking sector and the owners of sales' points in the city of Alkhums.

the study relied on the primary data collected by face to face interviews.

the study found two main difficulties including administrative difficulties (centralized issue of banking cards) and technical difficulties (absent of adequate infrastructure).

thus, the study strongly recommended that branches of the banking sector should be permitted to issue banking cards.

in addition, the banking sector should improve its infrastructure.
