Abstract EN

The present study aims at investigating argumentation in the Holy Quran; its types* causes* and punishments.

This is done through studying the Quranic aiyas (verses) related to this topic.

This study has used the inductive and descriptive approach in its analysis.

The research consists of an introduction including the related terminology* three chapters; the first chapter deals with types of argumentation* the second chapter deals with the causes of argumentation and the third chapter deals with the punishments upon the argumentators against the signs of Allah with no right to argue in this life and the life-after.

The study has concluded these results: Allah has ordered in the Holy Quran to argue softly with others with good intention.

Another result is that argumentation in the Holy Quran is of two types; the positive and negative.

Another result is related to the causes and the final result is related to the punishments of those who always argue with no right in this life and in the life-after.
