Abstract EN

There is no fundamental disagreement between the left and right in Israel over settlement in the west bank, as everyone agrees on the importance of settlement in the occupied territories, and that the starting points for each of them are almost identical, that the establishment of settlements and settlement on the palestinian land represents the cornerstone of Zionist ideology.

the settlement is so important in many aspects of demography, security, political, economic and water; the establishment of settlements brings more Jewish immigrants; and thus the Judaization of the Palestinian territory.

since the colonial movement came to Palestine in the late nineteenth century, Jewish settlers have managed to control strategic areas and water resources, as well as some fertile agricultural land.
