Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the recent trends of employing electronic payment methods in the Libyan banks in light of Covid-19.

To achieve this aim, the descriptive-analytical method was used, and a questionnaire was developed, where 51 questionnaires were distributed to a sample of the branches of banks operating in Misurata, as well as personal interviews were conducted with a number of officials working in these banks.

The findings of the study indicate that the weakness of recent trends to employ electronic payment methods through the failure of the Libyan banks in embodying the sales culture and the weakness of diversification of electronic payment methods in order to reduce risks and raise the level of security.

The study recommends the need to raise awareness and spread the culture of buying and selling through electronic payment methods, and the need for direct contact with electronic payment methods companies to solve the problemsthat occur to the beneficiaries of these services.
