Abstract EN

This article aims to study Imam Abu Amro Al-Dani and his sayings.

The researcher has selected one of the best scholars of Jarh and Ta’deel, known as Abu Amro Othman ben a’eed Al-Dani who died in 444AH.

The researcher introduces Imam Abu Amro, his teachers and students, and his collection of works.

In addition, he collected his sayings as narrated by those scholars who have read up several books in depth so as to compare Al- Dani’s sayings with those of other top critics.

The study concludes that the evaluation of the status of Imam Al-Dani in his Jarh and Ta’deel to narrators of Hadith was often consistent with the scholars of Jarh and Ta’deel.

However, he shows little criticism towards narrators.

Regarding the approach of Jarh, he shows tolerance and flexibility towards narrators, using broad terms in criticism.
