Abstract EN
Laboratory experiment was conducted to study the adsorption of tow metals, Zinc and Manganese on three clay minerals surfaces, Iraqi clay, alygorskite and Zeolite to reduce the pollution of these metals from their aqueous solutions.
The concentrations 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120µg ml⁻¹ of the studying metals had been tested.
Results were submitted to the equilibrium isotherm equations Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, Dubinin-Radushkovich, Redlich-Peterson and Kobel-Conigan) to describe the adsorption reactions.
Results showed that all models filled well.
Whether linear or non-linear equations were tobe different in reaction describe distinction as clay minerals and heavy metals different by using the statical parameters, Marquardt's percent standard deviation (MPSD), Average Relative Error (ARE), Average Relative standard Error (ARS) and correlation coefficient (R²).
It was found that non-linear models fitted the data better that linear models and among the equilibrium isotherm equations data are best represented by Koble-Corrigan equation especially by non-linear models.
