Abstract EN
The problem of global warming has become a reality as a result of changes in the concentration of carbon dioxide, as well as other gases that have the ability to orb lost rays from the earth, where these increased surface air temperatures by 0.8 °C than they were.
It is expected that the Earth's temperature will increase by 1.8-4.0 °C by the end of this century.
However, the problem of scarcity and deterioration of the quality of irrigation water is a result of the exacerbation of the salinity problem.
Besides, the scarcity of the quantities of water entering Iraq, whether it enters through the Tigris and Euphrates rivers or rainfall on the other hand is the most prominent factor in limiting the expansion of crop cultivation and reducing its production.
Since temperatures are among the factors that cannot be controlled because they are related to climatic changes, it has become necessary to search for ways that enable plants to coexist with these problems and reduce their negative effects on crops for growth and production of an economic yield.
One of these means is the use of anti-transpiration to reduce the amount of water lost by transpiration, in addition to the fact that increasing the relative water content in the plant tissues helps reduce the negative impact of stress on the plant, maintain the erection of leaves and carry out various metabolic activities.
