Abstract EN

The current study aimed at identifying the role of women's charities in empowering women economically and socially, and identifying the most important obstacles facing women's charities in empowering women in Al-Mafraq Governorate.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the social survey approach in the sample method; a representative sample of women benefiting from women's charities was chosen.

The sample size was 286 women randomly selected.

A questionnaire consisting of various and comprehensive questions was designed to cover all areas of study.

The SPSS Statistical Analytical Program was used to analyze the data by finding means, standard deviations and (T) test.

The results of the study showed that the role of women's charities in empowering women economically was high and with a mean of (3.51%).

It was also found that the role of women's charities in empowering women socially was high and with a mean of (3.81%).

The most important obstacles facing women's charities were discussed in implementing their development plans directed to support and empower women in Al-Mafraq Governorate, where such obstacles limit their role in moving forward in empowering women in the aforementioned fields.

Based on the results of the study, the study recommended supporting the role of these charities to move forward in empowering women and achieving better results.
