The Red Sea has acquired a very important strategic value globally and regionally, due to the great economic and security advantages it has enjoyed.

It is a link between the open seas and oceans, a crossroads of the three continents, and the transit route for the oil of the Arabian Peninsula to Europe.

As a result, the economic, political, and security interests of the major and regional countries were intertwined to direct the course of the region.

Ports The Red Sea in its various manifestations of establishing military bases, managing ports and establishing investment projects, and this competition had different effects on the security of the region, which necessitates studying the impact of that competition on the ports on the regional security of the countries of the Red Sea Basin.

The importance of studying the competition over the Red Sea ports and its impact on security highlights the danger of that competition turning into severe conflicts that affect the countries of the region and neighboring countries, because these ports are located in areas of great strategic and geopolitical value that make them the focus of attention and attention of regional and international powers for the sake of maintaining it.

Its economic and military interests, and consequently, they all seek to extend their influence in that region through the permanent presence in those ports.

Which highlights a pivotal question about the extent of the impact of this competition on the security of the Red Sea region.

In the context of investigation, the study assumes that regional and international competition over the Red Sea ports is a double-edged sword, as it negatively and positively affects the security of the Red Sea region.

Therefore, this study aims to describe and analyze the impact of competition on the Red Sea ports on the regional security of the basin countries.

In order to answer the questions, test the hypothesis, achieve the objectives and come up with results, the study uses systematic integration by using the historical approach in documentation to date the establishment of those ports and the date of that competition over them.
