Abstract EN

This study focuses on the professional competence which the Arabic teacher needs to teach non-arabophones.

it highlights the importance of the professional competence for achieving the objectives of the teaching learningprocess.

the study problem aroused from the lack of efficient training programs which provide a teacher who is qualified to teach non-arabophones.

the study aims to review and analysis the professional competences for achieving the objectives of the teaching learning process.

the study ends up that are pitfalls in the training programs, and the programs do not meet the teaching process requirement, and the programs are not efficient enough to provide a teacher with a required skills.

the study recommends to set training programs with giving special care to professional aspects, to bridge the gap between theory and practice in training programs, and to follow up the new training programs targeting foreign languages.
