This research with the title : The Economic and Commercial importance of the ports of the eastern coast of the Red Sea, aims to identify these ports and and their strategic importance regarding the economic and commercial aspects.

the researcher used narrative historical method.

information and events are analyzed in order to clarify its role in transporting goods and pilgrims between the different ports.

al so the funtional relationship with other ports on the coasts at the indian ocean is investigate.

in addition, the impact of eastern Red Sea Coast›s ports on the import and export movements on the international and local trade is srtudied.

the quantity and diversity of goods traded in these ports is an important focal point of the research.

the most important result is that: the eastern ports of the red sea served the trade movement before Islam and continued to do so during the Islamic era.
