Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the extent to which the social and national education books for middle school students in Jordan include the purposes of Islamic legitimacy by analyzing their content, using the descriptive analytical approach.

the fields are: preserving the religion(18), preserving the soul(18), preserving the mind(18), safeguarding money(18), preserving offspring(18),in light of this classification, social and national education books for the fourth, fifth and sixth grades of basic education in Jordan were analyzed.

the results of the study indicated that the results of the study about the low availability of values related to the purposes of Islamic law in those books, and in light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended including the purposes of Islamic law in the books of social education for the elementary stage in Jordan.
