Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the extent to which civic education books include contemporary professional education standards that should be included in civic education books for the basic intermediate stage in Jordan, issued by the ministry of education for the academic year 2017/2018.

to achieve this, the researcher used the content analysis method that necessitated its employment.

an analysis tool represented in (content analysis form), and the tool included four areas that included (25) of professional standards, and the reliability coefficient was extracted using the holsti equation for stability, where the reliability coefficient reached (89.03%) over time, and across people ( 09.86%), this coefficient is acceptable for the purposes of the study, and after carrying out the analysis process, the study revealed the results of the study about the low availability of contemporary professional education standards in those books.

in light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the inclusion of contemporary vocational education standards in the books of national education for the basic intermediate stage in Jordan, by including the concepts of vocational education in the books.
