The new Suez Canal is at the heart of a comprehensive national vision to establish the largest industrial and developed development zone along the canal line known as the Suez Canal Corridor Development Project and represents an important aspect of sustainable future development in Egypt.

It is also known that the development and economic dimensions of the new channel will not be limited only to Just shortening the hours of ship passage, to become the fastest channel in the world, or the passage of ships in both directions without waiting, and there are important results related to the development of the Suez Canal axis.

The project also aims to achieve sustainable economic development accompanied by the creation of new urban communities in East Port Said, Sokhna, and the Gulf of Suez, in addition to strengthening Sinai's communication with the motherland and facilitating the transit movement between Sinai and the rest of Egypt's governorates through the tunnels that have been dug under the canal recently, and then strengthening and installing security pillars and pillars.
