In the 5th century AH, the Bani Aqama family played an important role in supporting the Shafi'i sect in the Tihama of Yemen.

Especially the city of Zubayd, the home of science and scholars, and its sons inherited jurisprudence and the judiciary generation after generation, and they worked with poetry, including poets with eloquence and eloquence besides their knowledge of jurisprudence and their assumption of the judiciary and continued to take over the judiciary until he removed them from the judiciary after the end of his country, they were returned to the judiciary, and then sometime later they were mentioned and preoccupied with non-knowledge.

The family played a role in contributing to the movement of authorship of the jurisprudential books from which the scholars of the times and beyond, and some of them also had their role in removing the rule from the hands of the Shiites in Tihama and its support for the Sunnis from Abyssinia, and they had seminars of science in the famous mosques to teach jurisprudence and its branches and origins
