Government digital transformation has become one of the requirements of the times, and one of the most important common themes between governments and the private sector in the countries of the world, and this is a result of the information and communication revolution that has brought about a change in many traditional concepts, and led to a radical change of service, whether for citizens or customers, so what is known emerged with e-government, which is one of the most important aspects of digital transformation, which has become the focus of priorities for countries and institutions, due to the electronic services provided by e-government platforms, as they added new concepts in the science of public administration, such as : transparency and citizen participation in government performance, thus states delay in implementing transformation practices digital in governmental and private institutions, reduces the efficiencies of the services provided to the public and gain their satisfaction, and to stay away from the huge shifts in the field of information and communication technology.

this research aims to highlight the value and importance of digital government transformation in Algeria, and review the reality of e-government in Algeria through the united nations indicators on the readiness of countries for e-government
