Patriarch Arida was a unique personality, as he greatly differed from other Lebanese personalities, because of his characteristics that interacted with the environment in which he lived and was able to achieve what he sought by establishing influence and strengthening the position.

Thus, he was able to implement the goals and projects that he planned in the field of movement and activity since step one of his ambition to pursue a policy of his own during which he was able to confidently enter into subjects and open wide and spacious horizons, despite of many difficulties and obstacles that he faced at that time.

Therefore, he played a major role in the independence of Lebanon in 1943.

The study aimed at analyzing the role of Patriarch Antoine Arida in the independence of Lebanon in 1943 AD.

Furthermore, the study concluded that Patriarch Antoine Arida left his footprints in the Lebanese political events that he experienced and affected a lot, to the extent that he strongly made his presence felt in the place he occupied and at the work he practiced.
