Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the e-learning challenges facing faculty members in Jordanian universities from their point of view and the impact of variables (gender, academic qualification, years of service, specialization), the researchers used the descriptive survey method, and the tool consisted of a questionnaire that consisted of (30) items distributed over four fields and were distributed to a simple random sample of (145)) Faculty member.

48% of the study population in the selected universities for the academic year 2020/2021.

After analyzing the data statistically, the results of the study revealed that the degree of e-learning challenges facing faculty members in Jordanian universities from their point of view obtained a total average (4.15 out of 5), that is, at a (high) degree, and at the level of the four domains of values, the “assessment” challenge got the highest average.

(4.19), then the “scientific research” challenge with an average of (4.17), thirdly the “technical” challenge with an average of (4.14), and fourthly the “design” challenge with an average of (4.11), all with a grade (high).

And there were statistically significant differences at the level (α ≤ 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of the sample answers in the "design" challenge according to the gender variable and in favor of females.

And the absence of statistically significant differences in the rest of the fields and the absence of statistically significant differences between the answers of the sample according to the variables (experience, specialization, academic qualification), and in light of the results of the study, the researchers recommended integrating technology into university courses gradually through the design of electronic courses, based on the foundations of Instructional design standards and delivery across the global and local network around the clock.
