Arab translator’s use of English verbal collocations in the sports register

Abstract EN

This research attempts to shed light on the translation of verbal collocations in sports register from Arabic into English by Arab students majoring in translation at the department of English and translation in Jerash university.

The article embarks with an introduction about verbal collocation and sports register.

Many definitions of collocation are gathered and placed chronologically.

Next, the researcher elucidates the crucial role that collocation plays in translation and language learning.

Before the analysis, I explain the methodology of identifying sample of the study and data collection.

At a later stage, the researcher thoroughly analyzes data and comes up with conclusions and recommendations that end this unique study.
