Trade openness and economic growth in Algeria: empirical test (1985-2015)‎

Abstract EN

This study sought to search for the relationship between trade openness and economic growth in Algeria during the period (1985-2015), using the autoregressive co-integration model for distributed time gaps (ARDL).

the results showed the absence of a relationship in the long and short terms between trade openness and economic growth in Algeria, due to the inflexibility of exports and the high volume of imports that negatively affected the position of the trade balance during the study period.
