Abstract EN

The study aimed to review the phenomenon ٠٢ human traf- ficking in the eountries of the Red Sea basin، to study its causn es، to determine the impact، and to analyze its implications for the security of the countries of the Red Sea basin.

The analytical descriptive method and the hisorical methods were used to te& the validity of the hypotheses.

It was found that there are various reasons that lead to the spread of the phenomenon of human traf- ficking in the countries of the Red Sea basin، ranging between por litical reasons represented in the lack of freedoms and the tyranny of political regimes، security resulting from conflicts and wars in these countries، and economic reasons، as these countries suffer from poverty and low income level.

It has been shown that human trafficking has several negative effects، including political and sei curity effects، as some of the money from human trade goes to fir nance terrori& operations، and traffickers are sometimes exploited in wars، as well as there are economic effects such as an increase in unemployment، an increase in money laundering crimes، and the failure of many of the state’s economic policies and increase financial burdens on the exporting and receiving countries result- ing from the operations of combating human trafficking، and there are social implications represented in the difficulty of traffickers’ involvement in society and the emergence of Grange social habits on receiving societies، and there are health effects represented in the transmission of infectious diseases، which affect the health sei curity of the &ate.

The &udy reeommended the necessity ofcoor- dination and cooperation between all the Basin countries to com- bat this phenomenon، and the necessity to spread awareness of the danger of illegal immigration and its consequences.
