Abstract EN

The strife of Jalalyah in Makka (1041-1042 A.H/1632 AD) this study highlights one of the important facts in the history of Makkah in particular, and Hejaz in general, where a group of Jalalyan soldiers came to Mecca in the year (1041 A.H/1632 AD, coming from Yemen on their way to Egypt, due to the turmoil of the political and economic situation at the time.

After they approached Makkah, the soldiers asked its governor Zaid bin Mohsen to allow them to enter it, but he refused their request fearing of them.

the soldiers of Jalalyah, with arranging with Sharif Nami bin Abdull-Muttaleb, entered Makkah after an unequal strife with those who tried to confront them.

The Jalalyan soldiers and their assistants of Sheriffs took control of Mecca and elected Sharif Nami bin Abdull-Muttaleb as a governor of Makkah sharing with Sharif Idris bin Abdul Aziz, and then extended towards Jeddah and took control of it.

after he withdrew, Al-Sharif Zaid bin Mohsen went to Madinah and wrote to the rulers of Ottoman Egypt to help him face the danger of these Jalalyan soldiers, and rescuing the sacred town of Makkah and region of Hijaz from their control.

the Ottoman Government of Egypt responded to his request and prepared a military campaign to go to Hijaz and eliminate them, and to re-rule Sharif Mohsen again.

this campaign managed too eliminate them.
