Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the impact of empowerment on raising the level of job performance through employee satisfaction as mediating variable in the Jordanian duty free company.

empowerment was measured through three dimensions : delegation of authority, training and motivation, and the level of performance was measured using (work completion, work quantity and work quality), and to collect the necessary data, a questionnaire was used, which was distributed to a sample of (248) respondents from the Jordanian duty free markets company.

the results of the study showed the existence of a statistically significant impact of empowerment with its dimensions (authorization, training, motivation) in raising the level of job performance with its dimensions (work completion, work quantity, work quality) in the Jordanian duty free markets company, as well as the existence of a statistically significant impact of empowerment with its dimensions in employee satisfaction.

, as well as the existence of a statistically significant impact of employee satisfaction in raising the level of job performance with its combined dimensions, in addition to the existence of a statistically significant impact of employee satisfaction on the relationship between empowerment with its dimensions (authorization, training, motivation) on raising the level of job performance with its dimensions (work completion, work quantity, work quality) in the Jordanian duty free company.

based on the results of the study, several recommendations were made, including : increasing giving workers the necessary flexibility in terms of freedom of action when completing their tasks, and the participation of workers in solving the problems they face by adopting the concept of one team, in addition to improving the level of workers’ sense of fairness and objectivity of the promotions system applied in the company.
