This study aimed to know the impact of work-life balance on employees engagement ; the job stress as a mediating variable at Umniah telecommunications company in Jordan.
the researcher relied on the quantitative analytical approach, by collecting data by a questionnaire that developed and prepared for this purpose, and distributed to a stratified random sample of workers amounting to 180 individuals and 174 questionnaires were retrieved, all valid for analysis, using the data collection tool (the questionnaire) that was developed to fit the current study based on previous studies.
the questionnaire was published electronically (online questionnaire) via the (google drive) website of an Umniah telecommunications company, then the data was statistically analyzed using the statistical packages program (SPSS) in proportion to the study questions and hypotheses in order to derive the results, in addition to the Amos program) and it was interpreted, the most prominent results were: there is a statistically significant effect at the level (α ≤ 1015) of the effect of work-life balance with its dimensions (family and work conflict, salary, and work flexibility) on employee engagement with its dimensions (work involvement, employees’ satisfaction, enthusiasm) at the Umniah telecommunications company in Jordan, there is a statistically significant effect at the level (α ≤ 1015) of the effect of balance life and work with its dimensions (family and work conflict, salary, and work flexibility) on job stress at the Umniah telecommunications company in Jordan, there is a statistically significant effect at the level (α≤1015) of the mediating variable of job stress on employee engagement (work involvement, employees’ satisfaction, enthusiasm) in at the Umniah telecommunications company in Jordan, and there is no statistically significant intermediate effect of job stess in the work-life balance (family and work conflict, salary, work flexibility) in the employee engagement (work involvement, employee satisfaction, the enthusiasm) at the level (1015≥ α) at Umniah telecommunications company in Jordan the most prominent recommendations were: improving workers' salaries to match the nature of work and the high cost of living and improving administrative procedures to increase the employee engagement and improve the level of workers by working to provide guidelines for work-life balance.
