Abstract EN

This research aims to clarify the approach of Imam Muhammad bin Issa bin Surat Al-Tirmidhi (died: 279 AH) in his mention of the Qur’anic readings in his Sunan, and it is a model for the fried scholars of including the readings in their books, and he is one of those who are interested in mentioning the readings.

What distinguishes this blessed book is its mention of part of the Qur’anic readings of all kinds, which have a clear impact on understanding the meanings of the verses of the Noble Qur’an, as it is a valuable book full of benefits and uniqueness.

The research was divided into three sections: The first topic: the translation of Imam Al-Tirmidhi, the second topic: the definition of the readings and its approach to presenting the readings, and the third topic: a study of the readings contained therein, then the conclusion and the results, and the most important results are: 1- Imam Al-Tirmidhi was not only a modern man as is well known through his book Sunan; Rather, he was a man of jurisprudence, interpretation and readings.

2- The book “Sunan al-Tirmidhi” is unique in its chapter; Where his author singled out an entire book called (Readings and Letters).

3-The number of readings mentioned by Imam Al-Tirmidhi in his book reached (13) of which are mutawaatir and their number is (9), and among them are the odd ones, and their number is (4) words.

4-“Kitab al-Sunan” in terms of scientific evaluation is not only a modern book as it is well-known; Rather, a container in which his work collected a number of sciences, and finally the recommendations were mentioned, followed by the index of sources and references.
