Are university students aware of the use of cloud computing technology as supplementary learning

Abstract EN

This study aims at investigating students’ awareness at school of educational sciences (SoES) in the University of Jordan (UoJ) regarding the uses of cloud computing, and how this related to the academic level variable (bachelor, graduate).

To achieve the study objectives, the researchers used the descriptive survey approach.

After checking the validity and reliability of the study tool (questionnaire), they used a stratified random method to select the study sample and distribute it to 337 students from SoES at UoJ during the second semester of the academic year 2019/2020.

The results showed that the level of students’ awareness at SoES in UoJ regarding the uses of cloud computing was high.

In addition, they showed statistically significant differences attributed to the variable of academic level in favor of graduate level.

In light of these results, the researchers recommended conducting more research studies related to awareness of cloud computing services and the degree of their uses in the teaching and learning processes at various educational levels.

In addition, they recommend increasing the students’ awareness of cloud computing which is available for free.
