The used treatments have many disadvantages as their high toxicity and many side effects, in addition to its injection route of administration, which called for the search for new alternative treatments.

Flavonoids including Apigenin reported to have many anti parasitic properties.

In addition to their preference as potential therapeutic alternatives in the treatment of Leishmaniasis due to its low side effects and toxicity.

This study aims to compare the efficacy of Apigenin against L.

tropica parasites with Glucantime, the first treatment line used to treat Leishmaniasis, depending on viability assay, by XTT method, in order to evaluate the efficacy of Apigenin in .compare with Glucantime against L.
