Scholars’ interest in Islamic Fiqh was not limited to the jurisprudential works through which the jurists wrote down issues and rules of jurisprudence, but extended beyond the books of doctrinal jurisprudence; to include books of interpretation of the holy Qur’an, and books of Sunnah; narration and know-how.

as for the books of Sunnah, narration, its authors had a prominent role in establishing the jurisprudence of hadith, through their selection of hadiths of rulings; and its narration, and its arrangement on the jurisprudential chapters, and through their modern classifications in that include a lot of their jurisprudence.

then come the books of Hadith-narration, including the explanations of the hadith, to contribute to the service of Islamic jurisprudence, as their owners highlighted the jurisprudential rulings related to the hadiths that they explained and directed, according to their jurisprudential schools.

this research focuses on the jurisprudence of hadith commentators, and their trends and jurisprudential rules on which they relied in directing hadiths.

I have chosen the explanations of Sahih al-Bukhari as a model, on which this study is based.

the importance of Sahih al-Bukhari, and Imam al-Bukhari in jurisprudence through his classifications, and the explanation the four religious school of Islamic jurisprudence.
