Abstract EN

The study aimed to investigate the predictive ability of the habits of mind to the creative personality of gifted secondary school students in the State of Kuwait, and to investigate the statistical significance of the differences between students' estimates of habits of mind and creative personality, according to gender and grade.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the research measures, namely: habits of mind, and creative personality administered to available sample of 176 gifted students.

The results of two-way ANOVA revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between students' estimates of their creative personalities according to gender and grade level.

Furthermore, two-way MANOVA showed a statistically significant gender-related difference in the remaining open to continuous learning habit, in favor of males, while there are no statistically significant grade level-related differences in the habits of mind.

The results of the multiple regression analysis revealed that the two habits of mind “thinking and communicating clearly and accurately” and “finding humor” have a predictive ability in the creative personality and contribute by 32% and 3% to the variance in the creative personality, respectively.

In light of the results of the study, the researchers recommend re-conducting the study on other samples and age groups, and employing the habits of mind in educational curricula .

Furtheremore, providing the necessary training for teachers to enhance the creative personality and habits of mind of secondary school students.
