Abstract EN

The present research aim to investigate the psychometric competence of the motivation to learn scale according to the (expectancy-value) theory for (Eccles & Wigfield, 2002) on a sample of adolescents.

the sample consisted of 447 from adolescents (140 male, 307 female), their ages ranged between (13-20) years.

the mean age for the sample was (16,2) and the standard deviation was (1,8).

the researcher used the following statistical methods : validity of arbitrators / specialists, internal consistency, confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient , and split-half in order to ensure the validity and reliability of the scale.

results indicated that the scale had a high degree of internal consistency, validity, and reliability.

this confirms its efficiency in measuring motivation to learn among adolescents and confidence in the results of its use
