Abstract EN

The current research aimed to develop proposed mechanisms to activate the role of Egyptian universities in the field of community service and environmental development in the light of the QS ranking of world universities.

the research concluded with a set of results, the most important of which are : the degree of realization of the reality of the role of Egyptian universities in the field of community service and environmental development in the light of the QS ranking of world universities came to a medium degree, and there are a set of obstacles that hinder the realization of the role of Egyptian universities in community service and the development of the environment in light of the QS ranking of world universities, the most important of which are : the weak benefit of business institutions in the community from the research published in the university, and the lack of permission for faculty members to work as advisors in productive institutions, which brings financial benefit to the university, and the absence of a mechanism for marketing the results of scientific research to investors and business owners in the community.

and the existence of shortcomings in university regulations and legislation that regulate the relationship between the university and the community, which led to the weakness of the partnership between the university and the university collectiveness, and the weak link of university research with serving the work and production sectors in society.
