Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the attitudes of computer course teachers in the Jazan region towards distance education represented by the "Madrasati " platform in light of the Corona pandemic to reveal the effects of distance education on the teacher and student.

The researcher used the descriptive approach and designed a questionnaire and applied it to the study sample consisting of (112) male and female teachers, who were selected by random sampling method from computer teachers for the intermediate and secondary levels in the Jazan Educational region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021.

The study concluded that the average attitudes of computer course teachers in the Jazan region reached (3.52), with a relative weight of (70%) and at an average level.

In addition, there are statistically significant differences in the attitudes of computer course teachers towards distance education according to the gender variable and in favor of the female teachers.

While there are no statistically significant differences in the attitudes of computer course teachers towards distance education, according to the variables (educational qualification, years of experience, school level).

Moreover, the respondents have average estimates of the existence of positive effects of distance education, and the respondents have average estimates of the existence of negative effects of distance education.

The respondents have high estimates of the existence of positive effects of distance education on the student while he is learning the computer course, while they have medium estimates of the existence of negative effects of distance education on the learner.

The researcher recommended the importance of holding training courses to provide teachers with the skills to use distance learning tools and electronic assessment tools in particular.

Besides, the need to work on improving the "Madrasati" platform in terms of speed and performance.
