The aim of the research is to investigate the effectiveness of an educational program based on the theory of situational learning on the achievement of fifth grade literary students in geography and developing their coordination thinking.
The researcher choose a sample of 50 female students; 25 student for each group, from the fifth literary grade students at Homs Preparatory School for Girls for the academic year (2021-2022).
The educational program was construct in the light of the following stages (analysis, design, implementation, evaluation).
The behavioral objectives have been analyzed, the content has been identified, the educational environment has been analyzed, analyzing students’ characteristics, and identifying educational needs.
In the design and development stage, the formulation of behavioral objectives, the division of the study material, the preparation of design requirements, and the construction of tests were carried out as follows: " 1.
"An achievement test, of (30) items in its final form, consisting of objective items (multiple choice type).

"The coordination thinking test consists of (35) objective and article paragraphs distributed among the five skills.
" "The face validity of both tools was verified, and the coefficient of difficulty, discrimination, effectiveness of alternatives and reliability for the achievement test was calculated, as its value was (0.86), and discrimination and reliability were calculated for the coordination thinking test, and its value was (0.91).
" "After the tests were applied, the statistical treatment was done using (t-test) for two independent samples, and the results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference, in favor of the experimental group students, who studied the geography subject (in the educational program) according to the situational learning strategies, and between the students of the control group who studied The subject of the research experience according to the traditional method of achievement and coordination thinking.
