Abstract EN

This study aimed at constructing a scale of athletic empowerment among players in sports clubs in Gaza governorates.

the sample consists of 493 players (354 male players and 139 female players).

to achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher prepared the scale of athletic empowerment which consisted of 28 items.

the results showed that the construction of the athletic empowerment scale was verified and its validity, and the scale is characterized by validity of content and exploratory factorial analysis that led to six factors (motivation, support, meaning, efficiency, influence and independence).

these factors explain (61.482) of the overall variance of the scale as well as the scale is characterized with validity of the confirmatory factorial analysis of the first and second degrees.

it is characterized by the validity of internal consistency, the discriminatory validity and the reliability by (Cronbach's alpha and the split-half).

the method of correcting the scale was determined, as well as defining a criterion for determining the levels of the scale.

the researcher recommends using the scale to reveal the level of athletic empowerment among players in sports clubs in gaza governorates.
