Abstract EN

The current study aimed to reveal the relationship of parental treatment methods to the professional tendencies of high school students (Tawjihi) in Jerusalem schools from the students' point of view, according to the two variables: gender, specialization of the student, and the educational level variable of the parents.

use the descriptive associative approach; a stratified random sample was selected, according to gender and specialization, consisting of (288) male and female students from the study population, who are high school students (Tawjihi) who are enrolled in schools affiliated with the city of Jerusalem in Palestine for the academic year 2020/2021.

and a professional aptitude scale.

the results of the study showed that the relationship between the domain of realistic tendencies and parental treatment methods is negative, except for the relationship with my methods: (excess protection versus neglect, and fluctuation in treatment (inconsistency), as the relationship was positive.

the results also showed that the relationship between each of the tendencies : (analytical, social, exploratory, traditional, artistic, professional tendencies as a whole), on the one hand, and parenting methods of treatment on the other hand are positive, except for the relationship with my style: (equality versus discrimination, tolerance versus authoritarianism), as the relationship was inversely negative.
