This research is entitled (Geographical terms in Arabic dictionaries Al-Misbah Al-Munir as a model) a descriptive study in the light of modern linguistics.

Understanding terminology is a major factor in the study of science.

Terminology is the keys to science, and terminology can only be known and studied through language.

The ancient language, and the study proved the existence of the relationship between the geographical significance and the linguistic significance of many of the terms, and that the interpretation of geographers is not much different from the interpretation of these terms by linguists.
