This study explains - according to the foundations of cultural analysis - two narrative texts that reflect the hegemony of the father''s personality in a societal system ruled by the patriarchal system.

They are two novels (Hard Times by Charles Dickens) and (Bain Kasserine -by Naguib Mahfouz''s trilogy The researchr stands before two levels through which the patriarchal pattern is evident in the two novels: 1-The centrality of unilateral dialogue in the patriarchal discourse 2-The dominance of the patriarchal culture in the patriarchal society By standing on the dimensions of these two levels, the researchr seeks to display the manifestations of the patriarchal pattern; He revealed its impact on the events and transformations of the narrative, trying to get out of the narrow framework in which some cultural studies are located in Arab criticism, by moving away from generalization in the presentation of negative patterns that threaten the moral system in society, and for the study to open up to narrative patterns in which the cultural achievements of different societies are realized, hoping In achieving a cultural critical approach for the purpose of further disclosure, by revealing all possible cultural manifestations, the researcher reviews the features of the father's image in the two novels under study
