The Al-Tawabin movement was one of the prominent Shiite movements known to Islamic history, and it played a dangerous role in political and social events, and it proved to be an important movement, as it included the great Shiite men and the companions of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

And they were not satisfied with the well-known means of propaganda at the time, such as rhetoric and poetry, but they resorted to many means of propaganda, including acting, demonstrations and rumors, and they also resorted to what we call today a military coup when they seized Kufa from Ibn al-Zubayr.
