Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the value system adopted by Saudi universities by using the descriptive analytical approach through employing a content analysis form, and the study sample was limited to 23 Saudi public universities, and the results of the study indicated that the value system in the universities concerned consisted of 86 values distributed into six categories They are professional, cognitive, social, religious, political and economic values.

While the study categorized the values that were repeated in more than a quarter of the universities, the study sample (6 universities out of 23 universities) are prevalent values, thus the quality and excellence values came as the most prevailing values in the system of professional values, and the values of creativity and innovation as the most prevailing values in the system of cognitive values, and four values Prevailing within the social values system are the values of teamwork, justice, responsibility and respect, while the values of transparency, belonging, leadership and integrity came as the most prevailing political values, while no religious or economic values emerged in the universities of the study sample.
