Abstract EN

This study aims to discuss about Islamic mysticism from the point of view of some western orientalists and its importance lies in tracking their opinions and points of view and presenting their sayings on their writings about Sufiism which has been appeared and spread in Muslim countries.

this research followed the historical, descriptive, and analytical method in order to reach into the results including: some orientalist explained that the Sufiism in its upbringing has been influenced by factors outside the Islamic religion, and the main evidence behind it that it has been influenced by Neoplatonic philosophy.
