Abstract EN

The current research aims to know the attitudes of the students of the Mathematics Department in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham towards specialization To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher followed the descriptive approach, and a number of procedures, including the selection of the research community, which was limited to students of the Mathematics Department in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham for the current academic year (2021-2022), and his sample was chosen from the students of the Mathematics Department in the College of Education for Science Pure / Ibn Al-Haytham of both sexes.

The sample amounted to (25) male and female students.

This sample was chosen from the research community through simple randomization.

In his current research, the researcher used the scale of attitude towards specialization, which is a scale similar to the scale of the researcher (Siham Ibrahim Kamel Muhammad) (2008 AD), because of its many characteristics that are not available in some other scales, after the researcher extracted his sincerity by presenting to a number of experts and referees in Majoring in educational and psychological sciences, and a number of mathematics specialists.

And when analyzing the students’ answers using the T-test for one sample, the results showed the presence of the attitudes of the students of the Mathematics Department in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham towards specialization, and the results also showed that there were differences between the male degrees and the female students’ degrees in the scale of the tendency towards specialization.

And to complement the current study and its findings, the researcher suggested conducting future studies, most notably: conducting a study aimed at identifying the students’ tendencies and attitudes, as well as conducting a study on the psychological impact of the student towards specialization.
