The study aims at assessing Iraqi EFL Students' Educational and Vocational Needs.
The study is restricted to the first, second , 3the and 4th year preparatory schools students during the academic year 2020-2021.
The number of the whole population is 300 .
The sample of the study consists of 100 students .
In order to achieve the aims of the study, the instrument is a questionnaire to specify the academic needs of students on 2 areas namely " Educational needs, and Vocational needs ".
As a result of this process , the researcher has got 39 items .
The obtained results are that the Educational area ( approved by " 90.88% " of the total sample ) and the Vocational area ( approved by " 90.185% " of the total sample ).
In conclusion, This study has attempted to show how the research on the students' needs can be applied to language classes to make our teaching more effective and our students more successful.
