The Wahhabi movement appeared in the twelfth century ah-the eighteenth-century ad, calling for the approach of monotheism, correcting the creed, and proving necessity of returning to the book and the Sunnah, at a time when people moved away from the Qur'an and fads and superstitions abounded.

since this Wahhabi call emerged in Najd, god has written for it to spread outside the Arabian peninsula through pilgrims to the house of god.

the paper explained the reasons that led to the decline of Salafi thought and the components and contents that contributed to its spread.

the study aimed to show the effects of the Salafi trend in Sudan and its spread, as the paper showed the impact of this reformist revolution doctrinally, socially, culturally and politically in Islamic societies.

the paper also tried to track and evaluate the Wahhabi movement and its leakage to Africa and then to Sudan, outlining its pillars that qualified it to spread to cities and rural areas and ensured that it had a significant impact on Muslim societies.
