The research included a geographical glimpse of the country of Sudan، as the historical study of any region depends on its geographical features.

the study included the effects of those components on attracting Arab immigrants and their settlement therein the period before the establishment of the Funj state.

the study also indicated the importance of the crossings through which Arabs entered from the Arabian peninsula to the eastern and central regions of Sudan، focusing on the eastern crossing and its role in facilitating the flow of Arab migrations.

the study highlights the most important Arab tribes that entered through the eastern road and its impact on the local population and historical transitions in those areas، the study also discussed the impact of Arab migrations flow on Sudan to confirm the role of immigrant tribes in the eastern and central regions before entrance of the Muslims into the Nuba.

in addition political and economic reasons in the Arabian peninsula region، which were among the strongest reasons for pushing these Arabs towards Sudan.

the study showed the role of foreign scholars and merchants in spreading Islam among the local population، and how the assimilation of Arabs and their intermarriage with the Sudanese gradually led to the formation of Islamic emirates that had the greatest role in the expansion of Islam before the sixteenth century AD.
