Abstract EN

This study sought to determine the level of quality of functional life and the level of psychological burnout and to reveal the relationship between psychological burnout and the quality of functional life for teachers of intellectual disability in Jeddah in the light of the vision of 2030, as well as to reveal the factors affecting the quality of their working life.

The study adopted the descriptive approach.

The questionnaire was used as a main tool for collecting the data, which were distributed to the study sample which consisted of (189) male and female teachers from the study population (545).

The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant inverse correlation at the level (0.01) between psychological burnout and the quality of work life for teachers of intellectual disability in Jeddah.

The results of the study also showed a low level of psychological burnout among teachers of intellectual disability in Jeddah, as well as a high level of quality of work life among the study sample.

The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the responses of the study sample about the quality of work life due to the two variables (gender and years of experience).

The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the responses of the study sample about psychological burnout due to the variables (gender, educational qualification, and marital status).

Considering these results, the study recommended the need to pay attention to improving the career life of teachers of intellectual disability and to reduce the excessive job burdens on them.
