Abstract EN

The current research aimed to verify the effectiveness of a counseling program in relieving psychological stress among parents of children with autism spectrum disorder in the State of Kuwait.

The research sample consisted of (40) teachers whose ages ranged between (40-45) years.

The sample was chosen from the parents Children at the School of Autistic Behavior of the Ministry of Education in Hawalli Governorate in the State of Kuwait, and the sample was divided equally into two groups: experimental and control, and the research tools were the psychological stress scale for the parents of children with autism (prepared by the researcher), and the counseling program to relieve psychological stress for my parents Children with autism disorder (prepared by the researcher), and the results of the research found that there were statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group and the control group in the dimensional measurement of the psychological stress scale for the parents of children with autism spectrum disorder in favor of the experimental group, and there were statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group.

The scores of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements on the psychological stress scale for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder in favor of the post measurement, while the results of the research concluded that there is no Statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group scores in the two post and follow-up measurements on the psychological stress scale for the parents of children with autism spectrum disorder.
