Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the basic pillars promote the Saudi identity that should be included in the English language textbook for the first middle school grade, and to identify the extent to which it is included in the syllabus.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive method was followed in a content analysis way, as the study sample included the textbooks of the first and second semesters scheduled for the first middle school grade in the academic year (1440-1441 AH / 2019-2020AD).

The study tool was represented in the content analysis card.

The most important findings of the study were as follows:
